    Improving Flint Schools

Education is the foundation of every thriving community, and for too long, Flint's schools have been under-resourced and overlooked. Michael Clack knows this firsthand — as former President of the Flint Community Schools Board of Education, he led efforts to rebuild and modernize learning environments across the district.

Under his leadership, Washington Elementary was demolished to make way for better facilities, multiple school buildings were rehabilitated, and the CUBE at Brownell/Holmes was developed — complete with new athletic fields, a track, basketball courts, and expanded student programs.

As State Representative, Michael will fight to bring more state funding to Flint schools, invest in teacher recruitment and retention, and ensure every child has access to safe, modern, and fully equipped classrooms. Our children deserve nothing less.

The plan includes advocating for increased per-pupil funding, expanding early childhood education programs, and creating partnerships with local businesses to provide career readiness training for high school students.
